05:56 pm: It's March
Damn! it's March and it is still cold. The snow is gone from the ground at least but tomorrow is only going to be 28 when it should be 41. Come on spring hurry up.

05:47 pm: Is Winter Going to Stay around forever?
i'm tired of winter and wish it would go away. It's 40 one day and then the next it drops down to 5 above. Enough!!!. Work has been ok not much really happening. I went to the autoshow on the 9th and was able to take some good photos. Talking about photos I've been uploading more to flickr. Thats all for now - later

05:43 pm: Mid Winter
Today is Ground Hog Day, otherwise known as the mid point of winter. I'm already beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Sunset is after 5:00pm. Yay!!!! We got a good snowstorm from Thursday night into Friday, over ten inches of snow. Not much happening and I think that's good. - that's all for now - later

Yes, I'm still alive. Not much going on except work and taking some photos on the weekend.

05:50 pm: Passings
I'm a little down today. when i woke up this morning and checked my email, i got some really sad news. a grammar school and high school acquintance had passed away on the morning of new years eve. i guess he was having a heart attack and crossed several lanes of traffic and then hit a tree. i wasn't really a close friend of his but my mother and his mother was part of a coffee clutch. 41 is too young to die and his passing has struck a cord with me. i know i need to take care of myself better than i have or i might end of like him :(

07:37 am: Welcome to 2008!


2007 came to a quiet end. I don't now why we went to work yesterday. We didn't do anything. It was even quieter than the Friday before Christmas.

2008 is starting as a stormy and cold day. I couldn't see the fireworks from my apartment because of the snowstorm. I took the above picture at around 4am this morning. Needless to say I'm staying inside today. The pot roast should be done around noon. - that's all for now - later

07:20 am: 31 hours to Go
The year is quickly coming to a close. I'm a little tired this morning got up at 3:30 after getting home from John's place at around 10. I got up so I could put the fix-ins for split pea soup in the crockpot. This is the first time I've tried making split pea soup, so we'll see how it turns out. I think I'll be lazy today, I need to do laundry but maybe I'll go tomorrow afternoon afterwork. - that's all for now - later

05:23 am: Last Weekend for the Year!
Ok so we got a bonus at work $300 dollars plus certificates for steaks from Pfaelzer. Not really a bad deal and one cannot complain. I'd have to say it was better than what Huey did. I spent Christmas with Ken and his family. I had a cool time and a suprise!!! "santa" got me a bunch of inspirational books :) The last three days of work have been dead and were only working a half a day on Monday. We'll see how well that works out.

It looks like I've made it through one year with these people and with all the changes and mixed emotions I guess I'll continue to take things one day at a time. I've spent enough time with these people and have somewhat a vested interest in their success, that I should probably stay here for a while.

Latter today, I'm stopping over for dinner at John's house. This is are annual get together day. I've burned a DVD filled with the pictures I've took this year and hope to have a good time. - thats all for now - later

06:18 pm: December Tidings
another quick update.
December 9th was the 20th anniversary of my mom's passing. I got through it quite well and cooked a pot roast in her honor.

I had one day of vacation left and I took it on the 12th, it made for a fast week, since the 14th was our office's Christmas Party. we had it after work at the Italian restaurant around the corner. I have to say their pasta dishes are excellent and their pizza has improved in the last three years :) This week has been hectic. Everyone is trying to get their stuff done before Christmas. Today things began to slow down and maybe tomorrow will be even quieter, one could hope. Then it will be 4 days of rest. next week will be short and New Years Eve is a half day. 06:31 pm: Pearl Harbor Day
so today is the 66th anniversary of Pearl Harbor. so much time has gone by. i'm sort of in a reflecting mood. sunday will be the 20th anniversary of my mom's passing and today would have been her 76th birthday :( i can't believe it's been twenty years :( i want to cook a pot roast with potatoes and carrots on sunday. that was one of my favorite meals that my mom made. - that's all for now - later
